ANYWAYS! i was on my facebook profile this morning (i know, surprise!) and i smiled! why? because of my default picture. its photographical evidence that my brother and i actually do love each other, despite those times when we fight/argue/bicker.

It takes a Whole Village

concert choir learned the song that we're going to sing at graduation today. :D
it has a great message--
"It takes a whole village to raise our children,

It's an African song, I believe, and it is AMAZING. especially the chord on "our child". the tenors sing middle C, the altos sing the F above middle C, and the sopranos sing that A. it sounds soooooooooooo cool! (at least from where i sit, which is on the very outside edge of the soprano section).

I GET TO SLEEP IN TOMORROW!!!!!! yay for hsa's!

EQUINE!

soooo i ended up going to the medieval day at steppingstone musuem with christine, mitchell and michael, and later we met up with blake and then ever later daniel showed up :)

it was fun. totally. except i wasn't allowed to get a henna tattoo :(
BUT i had watermelon italian ice :)
and my legs didn't hurt as much, i guess because i was walking around a lot.
and we watched guys hit each other with padded sticks.
AND we watched equines!! lol. (blake was making fun of the warning signs or something...)

good pain :)

today was crazy.

we left at 8:30 for my cousings first communion, then went from there to their house for a late lunch
then to the powells party.
no bobby petrocelli with the smalleys :(
but instead im chillin and watching the itunes visualizer.
SOOOOO PRETTYY!!!

and also, im really sore from last night. but that means i worked my legs out really well :D which is good.

Macbeth tonight!

sooo this is kind of abnormal, because i usually post right when i get home from school, but my routine changed up a bit.

BUT OMG!!!!!
we got a REALLY good book in english today... its called Gentlemen and Players by Joanna Harris. i L-O-V-E love it! lol
AND my bio retake only took 10-15 minutes for just the retake part... all in all i was after school for 20 minutes... SIMPLE :)
AND im gonna go see Macbeth tonight. BREAK A LEG!!!! <3

soooooo i had my spring choral concert tonight. it was amazing! but i was sooo nervous! uploading the video isn't working... i hope i can get it on here somehow in the next couple of days.

my cat fell on my face. i have no clue what she was trying to do, except that she somehow ended up landing on my face and waking me up. it was pretty funny, in retrospect. lol!

not much good happened today, unfortunately.
BUT i did audition for a solo in chorus today, and i think it went really well. there were six people who auditioned, but i can almost guarantee that one of them won't get it. why? because his voice cracked on like half of it. it was kinda funny... lol.

BUT i also went up against four seniors. FOUR. so... if i lose the solo to claire and jocelyn, ill be ok. but if i lose it to hannah and erin, or any combination with hannah or erin in it, ill be mad.

but im not gonna talk about that now.

yeah.

OMG soooo much to tell!!!

i was downtown yesterday afternoon, and then got busy pretty much as soon as i got home.
BUT it was a good busy.

Mom got back from Colombia yesterday :)
She brought back a card from Daniela, with a note to each of us on it. i cant remember quite correctly, but she told me she was looking forward to being her sister, that she likes me, and she enjoyed hanging out with me last summer AWWWW <3
Mom also brought home a little family band--a drummer (Mitch and Dad), a guitarist (Mom) and a singer (ME!). i even have my own little microphone, and a stand!!! :D
these were all made out of wire, connected. its CRAZY! ill have to post pictures.

today was even better. if thats even possible.
i went to biology and gave myself sharpie tattoos :) again. lol. LOVE THEM! im gonna have to trace over them in black, or maybe even redo one after my shower, but i promise to post pix.
instead of having to deal with a sub in FOT, i helped ms mader set up for the teachers luncheon, which was totally funn. i got to make signs. and you know why she picked me? becasue of my sharpie drawing on my arm :) that was totally cool.
soooo after that, i went to drama. UGH. we had a sub (of course) and were watching a movie (duh) and had to write something about something (why not? give them something to do...) but i have to talk to mr. cummins about that, because i missed enough of the movie where i couldn't do the writing, because i had no clue what was going on.
euro was pretty cool, too. it went by extremely quickly, it seemed. the only thing wrong was the heat. i thought i was gonna die... im STILL hot from his class. grrr

so all in all, today was a pretty good school day!
OH! its also National Day of Prayer. SOOO pray! for your school, our country, our soldiers... whatever!
ok, gonna go study for my AP test tomorrow... *nervous sigh*

free as a bird

i say this because i am, indeed, free as a bird tonight :D
i dont have to stay after school.
i dont have a review session.
my brother doesn't have a game.

SO i get to watch my shows LIVE! yay me! lol. im excited. i haven't watched an NCIS show live in a couple weeks... :)

i loooooovvveeee my chorus teacher!!!!!! he gave the concert choir sopranos back the melody for our finale song for the spring concert, and he gave out music to those who wanted to audition for one of two solos. :D EEEEPPPPP soooo psyched!!

A Trip to Delaware

soooo...yeah. my brother made me smile today. *gasp* he bought me a soda because i left my money at home, and he said i didn't need to pay him back! awww
the car ride was pretty cool. i listened to my music all the way down. but i was also suffering from song ADD which wasn't funn. but i missed sooo much lol.
i'm at the hospital right now, posting from my email.
Grandpa's not doing that great, but apparently hes speaking better then he was on thursday. he still gets frustrated, but from what dad was saying, not as much.
hopefully, ill get to go to youth group with ian and caitlin tonight. i have no clue whats gonna happen with them... :/

OMG!!!! amazingness!!!!!!!!

ok, so just pretened i posted this BEFORE i went to sleep. because then, in my world, it would have still been friday, even though the clock said 1:05. lol

so school wasn't all that great, but whats new?
we watched Wall-E in FOT, but we had to answer questions on it. *sigh*
i ate lunch alone, because i had a different lunch for states.
THEN we got on the bus to go to MSU where our states festival was.
that was kinda funny... the three biggest guys plus one of the smalles girls sat in one row. and mr. tra sat with steve (another one of the biggest guys, no offense) in one of the very back seats--usually a one-person seat. lol
also, mr. tra expected us to be silent, and focus on our music, or an example sightreading. YEAH RIGHT! lol.
when we got there, it wasn't too bad. we got to hear North Harford sing, and they were AMAZING.
also, their auditorium is SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! im jealous.
then we had to go to the warm up room, which is extremely live. it was crazy.
unfortunately, the stage was only a little live, so it was hard to get used to. i wish we had been able to practice on the stage somehow.
after that, we went to the sightreading room. it was kinda small for so many people (around 50-ish maybe? i forget.)
BUT
im sure you want to hear how we did, right? ill tell you.
we got straight 2's on our songs (2=excellent). which actually isn't that bad, if you think about it. 1)we were on a new stage. 2)the county adjudicators score more on opinion, whereas at the state level they have rubrics.
BUTBUTBUT
WE GOT 1'S ON OUR SIGHTREADING!!!! (1=superior). which is totally insane, because we haven't really practiced sightreading all that much, especially melodic, which is pretty hard. BUT WE DID IT!!!! :D
after that, we had to listen to the MSU choir. they were having a dress rehearsal for an upcoming concert. it was hard to listen to because the director had a microphone and he KEPT TALKING!!! D:
the bus ride home was a bit better. we could listen to music, text, talk, whatever. it was much more relaxed.
then i got to the school, changed into my dress that i wore to swing (white w/black polka dots?) and mrs. smalley picked me up and brought me to their house where i had grilled chicken, green beans, rice and pineapple. yummy :)
after she took a picture in front of the house of me ian and caitlin, then we left! i forget what time we left, but we got there around 7, which was pretty good timing.
the city is sooooo beautiful!!!
so we parked, then headed to the national theatre. unfortunately, the doors for seating didn't open 'til 7:30 so we walked down to the corner, hoping the starbucks was open. it wasn't. but there was a little street vendor on the corner, so i bought this yummy lemon ice cup thing. it was pretty good. we waited until around 7:20-ish, then went back inside and waited to be seated.
the theatre is GORGEOUS!!! im jealous (again. lol)
then the play started, and it was amazing!!!!
after it finished, we waited outside the stage for something like an hour, maybe(?) for harvey fierstein to come out. ian REALLY wanted to meet him, as he played the part of tevye in fiddler (who was a LOT like ian... it was kinda funny...) and he played the gay brother in mrs doubtfire (apparently ANOTHER one of ian's favorite films... how many does he HAVE?) so anyways, we got a picture with him, and he signed our playbills :D and i was the only one who handed mine to him myself. lol.
so then after that we went back to the garage and headed home. that was pretty uneventful. we got out of DC quite easily. BUT something did happen, but that's not an OI story. so read Just Your Average Teen if you wanna find out the one thing that happened.
then i got home around 1:05-ish, checked facebook, updated my status, told Dad i was home, then fell into bed, after barely managing to change into pjs. if i had been wearing jeans or khakis, it would have no big deal. but a dress? yeah, i was NOT sleeping in that.
then i woke up at 12:00 this afternoon, came downstairs, checked facebook, updated my status, then started my post! which is probably my longest post ever... yesterday was a very long day.

yesterday was kinda fun.
i had drama, and instead of doing or duets, mr. cummins assigned a 500-word paper, trying to pitch our favorite movie. i did The Princess Bride. :D love that movie. I'll post the final draft when i'm finished.
i took a bath yesterday :) it felt soooooooo good!!!!!!! lol
I had my AP Euro exam review session last night. it wasn't that bad--basically just a second Euro class. BUT it comes with perks. because i'm going to the review sessions, i don't have to do the homework for unit 11 :) i might end up doing some of it anyways... idk tho.

hehehe... sooo....its 1:50 in the morning, I am at the Tellup's, and I have no plan of going to bed anytime soon. i will soooooooo not be helpful at the LIT info mtg tomro!

anyways, yesterday *cough cough* was ahMAZing!!!
first, i got up and read my book some more. Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. good book. has some cussing and other stuff in it, but the stories amazing. you should read it.
then i cleaned, a bit.
then the tellup girls were dropped off at 1, and we went shopping :D altho, we mostly went shopping for mom. BUT i got a really cute dress. gonna wear it to church tomro (as i have nothing else to wear)
we got back from shopping and picking katie up, and cleaned. like crazy. christine, katie, erin, mitchell, mom and i all cleaned around the house to get ready. people had actually started arriving before i had all my cd's burned... OH WELL!
then the party! it was definitely a SWEET sixteen!!!! =D
we played a little bit of volleyball, thought that didn't work too well.
we played red rover :)
we had a bonfire.
we bounced on the trampoline.
swing danced.
talked.
swung on the tire swing.
and basically had an AWESOME time!!!

then after the party, i went over to the tellups for a sleepover and opened my presents. THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH!! :D i loved them!
then we...
decorated my phone.
gave each other temporary permanent tattoos with SHARPIES!!!! lol. wont post pics, tho. but i have lyrics on my legs :) and words on my back... including SHINY! :D
decorated my phone some more (the cell gel--really cool--takes an hour to dry...*sigh*).
so now you are pretty much caught up! lol.
gonna watch bridge to terabithia, then most likely go to sleep.
